Why online orders disappoint

Stock that wasn't really there, a dispatch date that slipped, and a returns process designed to be tiring.

How we work

Hold it, describe it, send it

Listing stock you don't hold is the root of most bad online retail experiences. An order placed against a supplier's catalogue becomes a waiting game, and the customer finds out last.

Descriptions cause the rest. Most returns are avoidable: the size, quantity or specification wasn't clear enough at the point of ordering, and the item was never what the buyer pictured.

Returns themselves should be ordinary. Consumers buying at a distance have 14 days to change their mind, by law, and treating that as a cost of doing business is simply more honest than making it an obstacle course.
